We have had this cooktop installed for about a month and love it! Great range of heat, sleek and industrial looking. I also like the blue light under each knob that tells you when a burner is on. Great product!

Can't believe I have spent my entire life cooking with electricity. What a waste.

I received this new GE Gas Cooktop a couple of months ago and I cannot be more pleased. This is a high quality, rugged, yet beautiful gas cooktop, with heavy grates and powerful burners. GE makes the configuration of this cooktop exceptional, with the placement of the knobs to the 5 gas burners; plenty of room to cook with all burners concurrently. GE hit a home run with this cooktop!

This looks really nice installed. Similar to the GE Cafe but I prefer the grill pattern on this one. Love the blue lights under the knobs. Easy enough to install but was slightly smaller than our previous model so we got a custom base made up by Micro Trim (~$200) and that worked very well. Yes, the grill is quite high above the burners but heat rises and this thing has a ton of power anyway, so I wouldn't change anything there and you get a nice clear view of the flame.
The knobs are a bit of a mystery. They are solid metal with a plastic insert but turning them feels a bit rough in places. I checked to see if maybe the shaft is binding but it wasn't so it's just the valves they use. Odd for such a high end unit to have such a rough and inconsistent feel between the different controls. The knobs on our 20 year old Kitchenaid were all smooth as silk. Not a practical issue mind you, I think the people who break knobs either don't push them in properly before turning them or turn them the wrong way.
Overall very happy, this has definitely added a bit of class to our kitchen.

Only 2 burners I use out of the five. Because the other 3 don't have enough heat. The burners knobs look like they've been covered with aluminum foil, one of the knob already the covering all wrinkled and coming off. And I have no clue how did it happen. It is very hard to clean this stove top. Already brown marks around the burners that I can't clean. Also the grids are so heavy that it is so hard to wash them. I don't recommend this stovetop at all.
